This game was created in collaboration with UofA students for the class ISTA451.
About
Far From Home is a single player adventure game that takes place on an alien planet. You have just crashed your ship and must find all the missing parts to repair it.
You’ll journey through 4 different biomes each with different obstacles and enemies that you must overcome. As you explore the planet, you will learn about the planet's history and meet previous survivors who attempted to escape but failed. The low-poly art style was inspired by the games Journey and Subnautica.
Remember to treat this planet as your home but never forget that it is not.
Controls
- WASD or Arrow keys - Move
- Mouse - Rotate camera
- Space - Jump
- ESC or P - Pause

Mac - Unzip and double click on FarFromHome_Mac.app
Mac Errors
- If it says "can't be opened because Apple cannot check for malicious software" or "can't be opened because it's from an unknown developer" then right-click the game app and hit open.
